Harvey Siskind LLP is pleased to announce that Donald A. Thompson has joined the firm as an associate. His practice spans litigation and transactions, with an emphasis on trademark, copyright, trade secret, and related intellectual property matters. He represents clients in the technology, media, and design industries, among others.
Mr. Thompson holds a J.D. from the University of Southern California and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Yale College. As a law student, he served as Senior Submissions Editor of the Southern California Law Review and received the USC Scribes Award for “outstanding published writing.” His Note, Brown v. Kamehameha Schools: An Instrumental Critique of Remedial Self-Segregation in Private Education, 81 S. CAL. L. REV. 831 (2008), has been cited by the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Prior to joining Harvey Siskind LLP, Mr. Thompson founded an e-commerce startup and practiced with an international law firm. He lives in Oakland with his wife, Laura.
